Many many thanks to the 'Manny Cabral Foundation'! Thanks to their generous donation, Columbus House was able to purchase Chromebooks for our Young Parent Support Program. The students are very excited to be 'connected' to their education. A Chromebook was also purchased for a residential client for his first year at Algonquin College.
Columbus House is pleased to announce that our Renfrew YPSP and Childcare Program has moved into a newly renovated space at Central Public School! This space has allowed for expansion of childcare, now including toddlers, and increasing our infant & pre-school spaces. We will also be offering before and after school child care. The Home Depot Canada Foundation is committed to ending youth homelessness, pledging to invest $10 million over three years through The Orange Door Project. This initiative will give homeless youth the housing, support and hope they need to live safe, healthy and productive lives.
One component of The Orange Door Project is The Home Depot’s national fundraising campaign. From now until July 2, The Home Depot customers can buy a $2 paper door in support of a local youth-focused housing charity.
All proceeds raised at the Pembroke Home Depot store during the campaign will support Columbus House.
